9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Gifts of the Spirit are special abilities provided by the Holy Spirit to Christians for the purpose of building up the body of Christ.  His divine power has given us everything we need for life and Godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.

1- The Gift of Wisdom

The ministry’s growth has come with many trials and challenges that needed Godly wisdom to achieve victory. Building a strong church largely depends on Godly wisdom to bring a unit of purpose and fellowship among the members. 

2 - Gift of Knowledge and Understanding

The gift of knowledge is the ability to have an in depth understanding of a spiritual issue or situation. Godly knowledge is not taught of man, Jesus Christ says to Simon Peter ‘blessed are you Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood (men) have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in Heaven.’

3- Faith

The gift of Faith is being able to trust God and encourage others to trust God, no matter the circumstances. It is also the ability to discern with extra-ordinary confidence the will and purposes of God for His work. see (Romans 4 vs 18 - 21)

4 – Healing

The gift of Healing is the miraculous ability to use God's healing power to restore a person who is sick or suffering apart from the use of natural means. see (Acts 3 vs 1-10)
Without the gift of healing a ministry can have  blessed people but many of its people will be sick.

5 – Miracles

The gift of miracles is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to perform powerful acts or signs and wonders. These acts are perceived by observers to have altered the ordinary course of nature such that they give authenticity to God's word and the Gospel message. 

6 - Prophecy

The gift  of prophecy is the ability to receive and communicate an immidiate message of God to His people through a divinely anointed utterance.see  Amos 3 vs 7

7- Discerning of Spirits

It is the ability to determine with assurance whether or not a message, person or behaviour is truly fom God. The book of Revelations warns that the deceiver will even perform mighty works even calling fire from heaven to deceive even the elect if it were possible.
The  Apostle is anointed  by the  Holy Spirit  to discern and test every spirit to distinguish whether  they are  from  God  or  they are  form the devil. see ( 1 John 4 vs 1-4 )

8 – Gift of Tongues

The ability that God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to speak to God in a language they have never learnt. This may as well be the ability to receive and/or communicate an immediate message of God to His people through divinely anointed utterance in a language they never learnt. see (Acts 2 vs 1 - 13)

9 – Interpretation of Tongues 

To make known or translate the tongues in the vernacular message of one who speaks in tongues. Every tongue that is spoken in the church must be interpreted  to edify the church or individual. If there is no one to interpret the tongues it does not edify the church. see (1 Corinth 14 vs 26 -28)
